Who We Are
Our Mission & Vision

Dedicated To Daniel Safe Haven of Frederick County is a peer-run, nonprofit mental health and suicide prevention wellness center.We are driven by lived experiences and the active desire to promote and empower the forwardness of life. Our organization is manned by mental health and suicide prevention peer workers with practical life context who are trained to support others that are undergoing similar journeys.

  • Mission: To diminish the rate of suicide and masked psychological conditions on the distressed, depressed, lost, lonely and hopeless population, while in turn reducing the ramifications of hidden mental health struggles and fatal self-inflected injury on individuals, families, and communities. 

  • Vision: A community where everyone provides and continuously develops assertive, noble and intentional efforts towards living.

Our Why

To empower the forwardness of life and to SAVE LIVES by helping individuals feel less isolated and more connected through attentiveness, empathetic understanding and intentional measures.

Our Environment

We extend an alternative to hospital emergency departments for individuals enduring psychological and psychosomatic distress. We aim to provide a safe, relaxed, non-clinical space where judgement does not exist and where individuals feel seen and heard. A space where people are inspired, motivated, comfortable and free to be themselves.
