About the event

World Suicide Prevention Day — Candlelight Gathering 🕯️

Join the Dedicated to Daniel Foundation (DTD) for a peaceful evening of remembrance, hope, and community connection as we recognize World Suicide Prevention Day.

Together, we will honor the lives of those lost to suicide, stand beside those who may be struggling, and support the families, friends, and communities whose lives have been impacted.

This informal outdoor gathering will include a candle-lighting ceremony, moment of silence, quiet reflection, community connection, and access to mental-health resources.

DTD is honored to be joined by the Mental Health Association of Frederick County (MHA) Mobile Crisis Team, who will be present to provide crisis support, resources, and assistance to individuals who may experience emotional distress or need additional support during the gathering. Their presence reflects our shared commitment to suicide prevention and ensuring that no one has to navigate difficult moments alone.

Whether you are remembering someone…
